Thanks to all members and their guest who have visited us at the Clubhouse Restaurant this past month.
Please note some of our nightly dinner specials on our calendar of events. Fried Catfish, Lamb Fries,
Down Home Buffet, Seafood Buffet, Prime Rib, Baby Back Ribs, etc. Reservations are always
appreciated. 498-3020

The first Wednesday of each month, (this month October 7), we will have member bartenders, this month is Jason McCormick, Ben McDonald and Scott Ingram. We will be offering $1.00 hamburgers. Dine in only. Also, each member will be entered into a drawing for a $100.00 giveaway. This has become a great social event. Each month that you are here it gives you an extra chance to win!. At the end of the evening, a name will be drawn. To win you must have been at the club on that evening and purchased food or beverage. You do not have to be present to win. The drawing should be around 10:00 PM. If the name drawn has not participated that evening, then the monies are carried over to the next month with another $100 added on the first Wednesday of each month. Same procedure.
Carryover (now $500) will continue until the end of the year and a name will be drawn at the President’s reception. The only names that will be entered then are the Wednesday night participants. Hopefully someone will win each month! No winner in September - the name drawn was Buddy and Phyllis Collins and unfortunately they were not here on that evening. A special thanks to our member bartenders in September, Mark Steger and Boone Razor. They donated their gratuities of $192.00 towards the club fundraiser. (Club golf outing and fundraiser set for Sunday, October 25). Social events & golf outings coming up: Saturday, October 24 - Clubhouse will be open and Keeneland races will be televised. (Similar to Derby Day) Food and Beverage available. Sunday, October 25 - Our club golf outing fundraiser.

We will be cooking outside on the grill. Everyone welcome. Estimated time for food: 4:00 PM. Have you got your chili recipe perfected? We are scheduling our chili cook off for Saturday, November 21. You could win the coveted parking spot from Bryce Walker for the year 2010. The New Years Eve party is scheduled for Thursday, December 31.

I am now booking Christmas luncheon and dinner parties. Please call if you would like to schedule a group for lunch or dinner.

Schedule of Golfing Events for October:
Sunday October 4 - Mt. Sterling Golf Team fundraiser scramble. 1:30 Shotgun start. I will have an 8:00 AM shotgun start for members that wish to play on this day.

October 10 - Saturday - Golf course will be closed until 1:00 PM for an outside function.

Sunday October 25 - Our annual fundraising golf scramble. This year is Cross Country Golf. I like to call this Cross Country Golf because of the play of very unique golf holes and the layout is a blast. The course setup will be a 14 hole par 54. This is a 2-man scramble and you may play with a member or you can bring a guest. I am only taking 36 teams so sign up fast. Cookout following the golf scramble.
