Restaurant Notes

Thanks to all members and their guest who have visited us at the Clubhouse Restaurant this past month.
Please note some of our nightly dinner specials on our calendar of events. Fried Catfish, Lamb Fries, Prime Rib, Baby Back Ribs, Lobster & Filet, etc. Reservations are always appreciated. 498-3020
The clubhouse will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. The 1st Sunday of the month is order from menu only. (No buffet) . The next 3 Sunday’s we are offering our Full Sunday Brunch featuring breakfast items and lunch entrée’s.
The first Wednesday of each month, (this month November 4), we will have member guest bartenders, this month is Spears Stilz, Bryce Walker & Jim Setzer. We will be offering $1.00 hamburgers. Dine in only. Also, each attending member will be entered into a drawing for a $100.00 giveaway. This has become a great social event. Bring a potential member. Each month that you are here it gives you an extra chance to win!. At the end of the evening, a name will be drawn. To win you must have been at the club on that evening and purchased food or beverage. Open at 5:30 PM. You do not have to be present to win. The drawing should be around 10:00 PM. If the name drawn has not participated that evening, then the monies are carried over to the next month with another $100 added on the first Wednesday of each month. Same procedure. Carryover (now $600) will continue until the end of the year and a name will be drawn at the President’s reception December 5. The only names that will be entered then are the Wednesday night participants. Hopefully someone will win each month! No winner in October - the name drawn was Kyle and Annemarie Beckham and nfortunately they were not here on that evening. A special thanks to our member bartenders in October, Jason McCormick, Ben McDonald & Scott Ingram. They donated their gratuities of $162.35 towards the club fundraiser. If you would like to see this event continue in 2010 please let me know.
Social Events:
Saturday, November 7 - Clubhouse will be open and the Breeder’s Cup races will be televised. (Similar to Derby Day) Special menu available. Come early and watch the KY football game. KY vs. Eastern KY. 12:30.
December 5th - 4-6 PM President’s Reception.
If anyone would like to see a special event here, please let me know. The Chili Cook-Off will be held in January or February 2010. The New Years Eve party is scheduled for Thursday, December 31. I am now booking Christmas luncheon and dinner parties. Please call if you would like to schedule a group for lunch or dinner. Pro Shop News

I would like to thank everyone who came out and participated in our cross country golf outing fundraiser. It was a great success and I believe everyone that played had a grand time.
There are no golf events scheduled for November. Hopefully the weather will continue to be nice and members can utilize the golf course.
If anyone is looking for a particular golf Christmas present, please let me know in advance. I can order and have delivery before Christmas.

Restaurant and Pro Shop statement charges should be remitted separately. Per the bylaws of the Mt. Sterling Golf and Country Club: Restaurant and Pro Shop delinquent accounts 90 days or greater will have their charging privileges suspended and their names posted at the Pro Shop and Restaurant until their accounts have been paid in full. Going forward, any account ninety days delinquent as of the 10th of the month will have their names posted until the account is paid in full.
The new Rule Book is now available on our website. You can view and print this online at www.mountsterlingcc.com. If you do not have access to a computer, please let us know and we can print you a copy. The newsletter and calendar of events will only be available on our web page or a copy can be obtained
from the clubhouse or pro shop. If you still need a newsletter mailed, please let us know. 498-3020
New member certificates have been issued and certificate holders may now pick up these at the pro shop.
