Restaurant Notes
Kathy Montgomery, Food and Beverage Manager

Thanks to all members and their guests who have visited us at the Clubhouse Restaurant these past months.

The $1.00 Burger night has been a great success for socializing and fundraising; great opportunity to bring a potential member. All board members and the staff thank each person for participating and graciously donating.

The $1.00 Burger night (dine in only) on the first Wednesday of June, our member guest bartenders will be; Chris & Rebecca Peck and Susan Clark. Each attending member will again be entered into a drawing for the $100.00 giveaway. Each month you are here, it gives you an extra chance to win! To win, you must have been at the club on that evening and purchased food or beverage. You do not have to be present at the time of the drawing to win. The dining room will open at 5:30 PM. The drawing will be held close to 10:00 PM. If the name drawn has not participated that evening, then the monies are carried over to the next month with another $100.00 added to the drawing. It is the same procedure each month. The name drawn in May for the $100 prize was Cliff & Linda Stilz. Fortunately, they were here that evening; thus, they received $100.00 and donated their winnings back to the club fundraiser. Special thanks to our member bartenders in May: Lottie Bonfield, Tim and Joanna Gagle. They donated their hard earned gratuities of $251.00 to the club fundraiser.

The pool window will be open each day for food orders and menu specials will be offered daily. Ms. Elizabeth Prewitt will be manning the pool window for this pool season. Parents, please let us know if there is any special food you would like to see offered. The new food and bar area at the pool will be open most weekends and special occasions.

President's Message

As you have probably noticed, we have started a new project inside the pool area. This project is being gifted to the Club by the Dick Reynolds Memorial Fund at no cost to the Club or its members. Money that is gifted to the Club can be used in any area, but I wanted to explain why the pool was the target area. The basis of the decision had to do with the fact that the golf course has seen the benefit of all tournaments in the past. The decision to give back to the Social Members this year is one the Reynolds family and the Board believe is very much needed. When looking at the overall membership of the Club, there are more Social Members than Golfing Members. In reality, long term success of the Club is going to be through Social Memberships. The addition of the bar not only gives another amenity to the members, it also gives us an additional revenue opportunity. The ability to serve food and beverages poolside makes sense for many reasons. It is another option for weddings, pool parties, club functions and weekend service to the members. It also addresses the need for more shade for younger children. It is going to be an amenity that will be used for many years to come, and one that I hope will provide lasting memories for all. I would like to thank the Reynolds family for their generosity and input of what the club needs going forward.

A gracious welcome to new members, Will Fogle, Will & Terri Keath, Jason & Susan Walters, David & Brooke Comps, Rocky Franz, Brady & Shannon Chaney, Jeff & Christy Vice, Steve & Cindy McCane, Issac Goodpaster , Rob Lawson, Shanandor & Jennifer Conley, Todd Antrobus, Dr. Edward & Dr. Ellen Roberts, Brett Hale, Travis Hale, Rocky Osborne, Danny & Tracy Pearce, Marty Feltner, Charlie & Marilyn Williams, Jerry Barnett, Jeff Moore, Anthony Murphy, Eddie Otis, Dan & Tracey McCormick, Jonathan & Melissa King, Jim Moore, Steve Otis and Austin Lanzarone and to all their family members.

If anyone would like to have a business golf outing, wedding, reception, class reunion, or a private party, please call Scott or Kathy.

Regards, Kyle Beckham

2010 Buddy System Membership Drive

We are offering a great incentive to recruit new members to create revenue for the club and possibly lowering your dues structure. This is how it works; Your membership category determines the price for you and your buddy to join for the next two years. The membership rates are as follows:

If you bring in a Full Member, the price would be your current annual dues plus $1200.00. If you bring a Social/or Out of Town Member, the price would be your current annual dues plus $1000.00. If you bring in a Senior Social Member, your price would be your current annual dues plus $500.00. There is no food minimum charge for the new members for their first two years.

Example: You are a full certificate member who pays $2400.00 a year. You can bring in a buddy for a full membership for $3600.00 a year. (Your $2400 + $1200 = $3600). A Social or Out of Town Member for $3400.00 a year. (Your $2400 + $1000 = $3400). A Senior Social for $2900 a year. (Your $2400 + $500 = $2900).

This may be split between you and your buddy or however you choose. For example: You pay $2400 and he pays $1200 or you both pay $1800.

Again, this goes for every membership category we have. If you have more questions regarding the Buddy System, please call Jim Wilson or Scott Vice at the Pro Shop. 498-3142
